13.8.1 Removing rear wheel housing trim
– Tape over all adjacent painted surfaces.
– Unscrew bolts -2-.
– Warm rear wheel arch trim -1- in area of adhesive tapes -4-,
using hot air blower - V.A.G 1416- to do so.
– Lift one corner of rear wheel arch trim -1-, using removing
wedge - 3409- to do so -arrow a-.
– Grasp corner and pull rear wheel arch trim -1- firmly off wheel
arch.
– If wheel arch trim cannot be raised, use cutting cord to cut
through adhesive tape.
– Pull rear wheel arch trim -1- out under side member extension
-3- -arrow a-.
