Installing gas strut

Installing existing gas strut
– Push gas strut onto rear ball-head pin -3-.
– To push on front ball-head pin, insert a screwdriver into mount‐
ing slot -6- in hinge -1-.
– Now press gas strut together using screwdriver blade until ball
socket -5- can be pushed over ball-head pin.
Installing new gas strut
Note
The new gas strut has an "inner" mounting lock which limits the outward movement of the piston rod during
initial mounting.
– Push gas strut onto rear ball-head pin -3-.
– Close rear lid until gas strut can be pressed onto front ball-
head pin -5-.
