2.15.2 User-specific reconfiguring of PLC program control unit switchover
Introduction
The solution outlined roughly below should be selected only if at least one of the following
configuring requirements is applicable:
● Suppression strategy which differs from standard functionality
● Operating mode switchover which differs from standard functionality
● Independent handling of override switch for switchover of control unit
● Existence of a 2nd machine control panel on an MMC
Method of description:
1. Description of operational sequences

3. Graphical representation of sequences in diagram form
Implementation details can also be obtained from the standard configuration which is
included in the toolbox.
2.15.2.1 Description of operational sequences (overview)
Overview
PCU sends request
A PCU would like to link up with an NCU and sends this request to the PLC of the relevant NCU.
PCU coming
A PCU goes online to an NCU, i.e. it links up to the NCU.
PCU going
A PCU aborts the link to an NCU.
Suppression
A PCU must abort the link with an NCU because another operator panel wants to go online
to the same NCU.
