8. Remove the tee, reducing union, and tubing from the SFI using the plastic tweezers
(Figure 40).

9. Unscrew the fingertight nuts from the tee and reducing union and then remove the low
flow tube.
10. Slide the tube through one of the fingertight nuts to fit a new low flow tube.
11. Fit the nut to the splitting tee.
12. Gently push the tube into the tee while simultaneously tightening the nut.
13. Slide the opposite end of the low flow tube into the second finger tight nut.
14. Using the weight of the reducing union to maintain pressure on the tube, tighten the
second finger tight nut into the splitting tee.
15. Press the tee, union and tube back into position within the SFI. Ensure the electrical
connection for the tee is aligned with the retaining screw opening. The fittings will click
into the metal clip and the molding of the SFI base. Ensure the unions are fitted as shown
in Figure 40.
The tee and union will only fit into the SFI base in one configuration. Do not force the

unions to fit.
16. Fit the retaining screw to the splitting tee using the PH1 Phillips screwdriver (Figure 39).
17. Refit the SFI cover and tighten the three securing screws using the PH1 screwdriver.
18. Refit the input line nut and tubing (Figure 38).
19. Refit the metal collar and PEEK screw by reversing steps 3–6. The SFI low flow tube has
been successfully changed.
20. Fit either a spraychip or measure the flow rate (Liquid Flow Rate Measurement on page 62).
