Maintenance Schedule

Gilson recommends performing periodic inspections and maintenance of the
VERITY 1910 MS Detector components to ensure operational performance. The
recommended inspection and maintenance periods are listed below, but are only general
guidelines. The frequency of the maintenance will vary depending on the system usage and
type of sample analyzed.

General Maintenance

The maintenance procedures described in this chapter must be carried out with the
VERITY 1910 MS Detector in its installed location.
To perform any of the maintenance procedures, the door must be open with the safety
interlock engaged. If in doubt, power down the instrument and perform the maintenance with
the instrument disconnected from the power outlet. Refer to Power Down on page 45.
The external surfaces of the VERITY 1910 MS Detector can be cleaned by wiping the surfaces
down with 10% aqueous isopropyl alcohol.

When cleaning the exterior surfaces, always disconnect the
VERITY 1910 MS Detector from the mains supply to avoid risk of electric shock.
Gilson is not responsible for any damage caused by improper use of the
VERITY 1910 MS Detector improper maintenance, unauthorized modifications or
failure to comply with the procedures detailed in Gilson documentation.
