Spraychip Flange

The spraychip flange is used to connect the microspray source of the
VERITY 1910 MS Detector to the source, filter, and detector assembly (SFD) and provides
access to the nebulizer gas connection. The spraychip and vac-chip flanges, once assembled
together, generally remain so unless extensive cleaning is required. To fit the spraychip and
vac-chip flanges together follow the steps below.
Remove the Spraychip Flange
1. Unscrew the securing screws from the spraychip and vac-chip flanges, using a 2.5 mm
T-type Allen key.
2. Lift the spraychip flange out of the front face of the vac-chip flange.
Install the Spraychip Flange
1. Ensure the o-ring is present and then lower the spraychip flange down onto the front face
of the vac-chip flange. Align the three mounting holes with the threaded sections on the
vac-chip flange, as shown in Figure 30.
2. Screw the spraychip flange to the vac-chip flange, using a 2.5 mm T-type Allen key. There
is a single orientation where the holes and threaded sections will align.
