Prepare the Syringe Pump

Peak calibration must be performed with the calibration kit (part number 14410023),
calibration tubing (part number 14410018), and appropriate calibration solution delivered
directly from the syringe pump provided.
1. Fill the luer lock syringe (part number 14417001) with the calibration solution, ensuring
there are no air bubbles in the syringe.
2. Fit the syringe to the syringe pump, ensuring the syringe piston is tightly gripped to the
pump barrel.
3. Disconnect the PEEK tubing from the inline microfilter input and split flow interface (SFI)
waste line ports, if necessary.
4. Install the plug (part number 49041124) into the waste line port of the SFI.

5. connect the RS-232 end of the Pump-to-Pc network cable to the RS-232 port (D) located
on the rear panel of the VERITY 1910 MS Detector (Rear Panel Connections on page 24).
6. connect the other end of the cable to the port labeled computer at the back/underside of
the pump.
7. connect the power supply to the pump and then the power outlet.
It is important to strictly follow all safety instructions included with the syringe pump.
If the VERITY 1910 MS Detector is installed as a constituent part of another system, the
safety of the assembled system is the responsibility of the person responsible for that
systems assembly.
