terminal15isswitchedon.Boththehigh-voltageelectricalsystem(EKKandelectricheating)andthe
12 VvehicleelectricalsystemaresuppliedwithenergybytheDC/DCconverter.Ifduetothearising
heatacoolingrequirementisidentified,thecoolantpumpisswitchedon,andifrequiredalsothe
electricfan.
Whenterminal15isswitchedthecoolantpumpandelectricfancanbeswitchedonautomatically.
Forworkwithanopenenginecompartmentlidoratthecoolingmoduleitisimperativeterminal15is
switchedoff.
Whilethehigh-voltagebatteryisbeingcharged,thepowerelectronicsintheelectricalmachine
electronicsandintheconveniencechargingelectronicsareworking.Duetothehighelectrical
power,whichisgeneratedintheelectricalmachineelectronicsandtheconveniencecharging
electronics,heatalsodevelops.Thismustbedissipatedusingthecoolingcircuitdescribedhere.
Forthisreason,theelectriccoolantpumpandtheelectricfanarealsoswitchedonduringcharging
withacorrespondinglyhightemperatureintheelectricalmachineelectronicsandintheconvenience
chargingelectronics.
Thecoolantpumpandtheelectricfancanbeswitchedonautomaticallywhenchargingthe
high-voltagebattery.Thehigh-voltagebatterycannotbechargedwhenworkingwiththeengine
compartmentlidopenoratthecoolingmodule.
