Every Three Months
To optimize battery lifetime of the UPS it is recommended to fully discharge the battery
once every three months.
• Discharge the battery by unplugging the mains power from the wall outlet while the
system is running.
• Wait until the system shuts down (max. five minutes).
• Plug in mains power and turn system on again.
• Repeat this process until the system shuts down immediately after unplugging mains
power and system emits a long beep followed by short beeps. The battery is now empty.
• Fully charge battery by plugging in the system and switching on the mains power switch
for two or more hours.

Inspection
Visual control (twists, cracks).
The UPS battery is charged by plugging in the system and switching
on the mains power. Charging typically requires less than 5 hours to
charge fully.
Inspection
Turn the Curve system on (see page 96). Utility power is supplied to
the system.
Perform a simulated utility blackout test to confirm that the UPS unit
can switch from utility power to battery power and back again, without
affecting the equipment powered by UPS. System must still be "On".
