5. Change full flow (cartridge type) oil filter element. Inspect element for
foreign particles. (See Note 9.) ..........................................................................

7. Inspect oil lines and fittings for leaks, security, chafing, dents and cracks.

8. Clean and inspect oil radiator cooling fins. .......................................................

10. Inspect rocker box covers for evidence of oil leaks. If found, replace gasket;
torque cover screws 50 inch-pounds. (See Note 11.) ........................................
11. Inspect wiring to engine and accessories. Replace damaged wires and clamps.
Inspect terminals for security and cleanliness. ..................................................
12. Inspect spark plug cable leads. .........................................................................
13. Inspect spark plug ceramics for corrosion and deposits. ....................................
14. Check cylinder compression. (Reference: AC43.13-1A.) .................................
15. Inspect cylinders for cracked or broken fins. (See Note 12.) ............................
16. Fill engine with oil as per lubrication chart. (Refer to Section II.)....................

NOTE:
If fouling of spark plugs has been apparent, rotate bottom
and top plugs.
18. Inspect condition of spark plugs.
Clean and adjust gap, per latest revision of
Textron Lycoming Service Letter No. 1042. .....................................................
19. Inspect ignition harnesses and insulators for high tension leakage and continuity.
20. Check magneto main points for clearance. (Refer to Section VIII, VIIIA or

21. Check magneto retard points for proper retard angle. (Refer to Section VIII

22. Inspect magnetos for oil leakage. ......................................................................
23. Inspect breaker felts for proper lubrication. ......................................................
24. Inspect distributor blocks for cracks, burned areas or corrosion, and height of

26. Inspect D3200 pressurized (blue) magneto gears. (Refer to latest revision of

29. Remove and clean fuel injector inlet line screen. Clean injector nozzles as
