BATTERY.
11-76.
SERVICING BATTERY.
Access
to the battery
is through the nose bag-
gage compartment
panel. The stainless
steel box has a plastic drain tube located
on the bottom side near the right rear corner which is normally closed off with
a clamp and should be opened occasionally
to drain off any accumulation
of liquid.
The battery
should be checked
for fluid level, but must not be filled above the
baffle plates.
As hydrometer
check should be performed
to determine
the per
cent of charge present
in the battery.
All connections
must be clean and tight.
If the battery
is not up to normal charge,
recharge
starting with a charging rate
of 2 amperes
and finishing with 1 ampere.
