3.4 Driving and Transport
3.4.1 General on Driving
The following should be observed when the rotary
swather is driven:
•
Due to the rear wheel steering the handling of the
rotary swather requires a certain time to get used to.
• The rotary swather swivels out. Please
observe when driving around curves.
• The rotors must not be driven in the
transport position.
3.5 Transport of the swather on
public roads
• Before transporting the swather on
public roads, check that the left and
right locks (1) have snapped correctly
into the retaining pins.
• When using public roads and paths,
the appropriate illumination
regulations should be observed.
• Plug tine guard onto tines and
secure.
• Before driving on public roads or
paths, it is mandatory for the rotary
arms to be folded into transport
position.
• Before switching from the working to
the transport position, make certain
the swath cloth (1) is suspended and
swinging freely and the safety flap (2)
is in position (I).
