1. Disconnect the connector from the wall supply in the event of a prolonged gas failure.
Otherwise the central gas supply may become contaminated!
* Alarm can be downgraded to specified lower priority or canceled.
2. This alarm can be deactivated by trained service personnel at customer request.

Cause
Insufficient supply of fresh gas.
Bronchial aspiration during ventilation.
Negative pressure due to fault in
ventilator.
Anesthetic gas scavenging system faulty. Call DrägerService.
Compressed air supply has failed.
Pipeline supply hose not connected or
kinked.
Optional air cylinder is empty or closed.
Compressed air compressor has failed.

* No fresh-gas flow set.
N O supply has failed.

Chapter 12 - Troubleshooting
Remedy
Set adequate fresh-gas flow on
anesthesia machine. Flush system if
necessary.
Check bronchial aspiration.
Check that upper diaphragm has been
fitted correctly.
Call DrägerService.
Open optional backup air cylinder.
Check piped medical air supply.
Check connection to piped medical air
supply.
Connect a full air cylinder or open the
cylinder valve.
Check compressor.
Open flow control valves and adjust flow.
Open N O backup cylinder.

Check central gas supply.
Check connection to central supply.
Connect a full N O cylinder or open the

cylinder valve.
Open O backup cylinder.

Check central supply.
Check connection to central supply.
Connect a full O cylinder or open the

cylinder valve.
Check patient's condition!

Check application of the SpO
Measure blood pressure on other arm.
