Adjusting the phosphor index

After replacing main board, combiner, and upgrading firmware, proceed with the phosphor index
adjustment.
Warning! If not avoided, the following could result in death or serious injury.
• Do not look into the projector lens when the laser is on. The bright light may result in permanent
eye damage.

Criteria
To set up for the phosphor index adjustment, follow the steps below.
1. Project the 64 Gray RGBW test pattern.
2. Enter Service mode.

3. Select Wheel Index (2x) or select Wheel Index (3x).
4. Select Phosphor Index.
5. Set up for the phosphor index value.
Only confirm the blue color as the other color levels are not taken into account.
a. Adjust the index upwards until blue does not appear smooth.
b. Record the a index value.
c. Adjust the index downwards until blue does not appear smooth.
d. Record the b index value.
e. Set the index value to (a+b)/2.

• If the blue color level is supersaturated, the 64 Gray RGBW test pattern
appears blurred and fuzzy.
• Blue colors in 64 Gray RGBW test pattern appear sharp and clear.
• No noise is visible on the screen.
