6.4. Abnormal Shutdown Procedure
The EBD is typically powered through an EBD master switch that is connected to the
aircraft's Battery bus. Normally, the EBD will power down when the EBD Master switch
is turned OFF or when aircraft power is removed when on the ground. To force the EBD
to power down, the following procedures are provided.

A powering off annunciation displays indicating that the unit will shut down in 5
seconds. The pilot can press any control to abort the power-down sequence.

EBD Master switch OFF
Press and hold the PWR Button until the display turns off (Figure 6-1)
Press the MENU Button.
Rotate the Top Knob to the POWER SETTINGS Menu page
Press the SHUT DOWN Menu Key. The power down sequence initiates, and a
power down message displays
Press and hold the PWR Button until the EBD powers on.
