What Happens when Roll End is Detected
If the roll has a white core
Slide 204
No additional notes
The roll end sensor cannot detect roll end when
the trailing edge of the roll separates from the
white core (there is no color change for the roll
end sensor to detect).
However, when the paper end sensor detects the
trailing edge of the paper:
» If less than 210 mm (about 8 in.) has fed past the cutting
sensor, the roll reverses and takes up 200 mm of paper.
The paper does not exit the machine.
» If more than 210 mm has fed past the cutting sensor,
the paper is allowed to feed out of the machine without
cutting.
