Start the Operator and log on with the customer's user name and password.

Click on the Gateway setup button.

Use the PIN code to log on to Gateway setup. On the Settings tab of Gateway setup you can see
the controllers that the Gateway has detected in the Priva network.

Click on the Device Setup button of the Compass controller.

Select Upload platform image to update the software with the Controller Setup file from the
preparation stage. The file will then be uploaded to the controller, which verifies the file.

Wait until the update is complete and the controller has restarted.

Update all Compass controllers first before updating the Gateway.

Return to Gateway setup.

Select Upload package for the Gateway to update the software with the Gateway Setup file from
the preparation stage. The file will then be uploaded to the Gateway, which verifies the file. The
Gateway update process may take up to 15 minutes.
It is also possible that the Gateway may install Windows updates when it is restarting.
You cannot see this. This may take half an hour.
Wait until the update is complete and do not interrupt the update process.

Press the Disconnect button to disconnect the controller from the Gateway.

After a short time, the controller will be disconnected. Next, press the Connect button to connect
the controller to the Gateway. This will take some time.

As soon as the scan is finished, the Gateway setup screen will reappear and you can select the
Start Operator button. If this is not the case, you can do the following:
•
Note the address (URL) in the browser before disconnecting the power supply from the
housing.
•
Switch the power supply to the Compass housing OFF and then ON again. Both the Gateway
and the controller will restart.
•
Once the system has restarted, open a browser, type the Gateway address again and the Operator
will reappear.
