Updating Compass software

Preparation
Make sure that the following preparations have been made:
• Download the update packages for the Compass controller and for the Gateway. This software
is available at https://support.priva.com, under Priva Compass, in the article Where can I find the
latest Priva Compass software?. Save these files on your laptop.
• Make sure that the Gateway is connected to separate networks: the office network (ETH1) and
the Priva network (ETH2).
• Inform the customer/grower that the process computer will not be controlling during the update
procedure. Bear in mind that this may take up to an hour.
• Collect the user name and password for logging on to the Operator and the PIN code for accessing
Gateway setup or make sure that someone is available to log in.
• Make sure that the climate, energy and irrigation controllers are in idle mode or in a safe position.
Update procedure
Update the Compass controller first and then the Gateway to prevent communication being
lost.
