5.4 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

5.4.1

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION

Work connected with the repair, change or regeneration of hydraulic system components
(suspension cylinders, valves etc.) should be entrusted to specialist establishments, having
the appropriate technology and qualifications for this type of work.
The duties of the operator connected with the hydraulic system include:
• checking tightness and visual inspection of the system.
• Checking technical condition of hydraulic connections.
DANGER
Do NOT use the trailer if the central hydraulic system is unreliable.
Do not use the trailer if the support hydraulic system is out of order.
Do NOT use the trailer if hydraulic brake system is unreliable.
5.4.2

CHECKING HYDRAULIC SYSTEM TIGHTNESS

Required maintenance activities
Hitch the trailer to the tractor according to chapter 4.3.
Clean connections and cylinders (hydraulic support, rear fender, tipping
cylinder, drawbar shock absorption, suspension interlock).
Raise and lower the hydraulic support several times (if installed).
Activate the rear axle turning interlock several times.
Extend and withdraw the rear fender several times.
Raise and lower the tipping frame several times, check the cylinders of the
suspension interlock for correctness of operation.
If the trailer is equipped with the hydraulic braking system, depress tractor
brake pedal several times.
Check hydraulic cylinders and conduits for tightness.
