Verify Alarm-Free System

PURPOSE
This procedure provides instructions to verify that the system is alarm free.
GENERAL
For information on TL1 command syntax, refer to the 1677 SONET Link Commands and Messages
manual (PN 3EM13852AF).
Refer to the 1677 SONET Link Address and Location Guide (PN 3EM13854AD) for module
locations.
There is no checklist for this procedure.
STEP PROCEDURE

Do alarms exist?

Clear all alarms, then go to step 4. Refer to 1677 SONET Link Maintenance and

Trouble Clearing manual (PN 3EM13853AF).

Do conditions exist?

Clear all conditions that can be cleared, then go to step 7. Refer to 1677 SONET Link

Maintenance and Trouble Clearing manual (PN 3EM13853AF).
7 STOP. This procedure is complete.
Verify Alarm-Free System
to verify there are no alarms present on system.
RTRV-ALM-ALL;
If yes, go to step 3.
If no, go to step 4.
