Disconnect Test Equipment and Test Cables

PURPOSE
This procedure is used to disconnect all test equipment and test cables from the system.
GENERAL
Refer to the 1677 SONET Link Address and Location Guide (PN 3EM13854AD) for module
locations.
There is no checklist for this procedure.
STEP PROCEDURE
Disconnect test set(s) connected to OCn and GIGE module(s). Replace protective cover

on TX or RX port on OCn or GIGE module after each test set fiber is removed.
Disconnect fiber-optic jumpers used for testing from OCn and GIGE modules. Replace

protective cover on TX or RX port on OCn or GIGE module after each jumper end is
removed.
Disconnect test set(s) connected to 48-port DS3/EC1 connector panel.

Disconnect DS3 test cables from 48-port DS3/EC1 connector panel used for testing.

5 STOP. This procedure is complete.
