Using console cable supplied with 1677 SONET Link connect RJ-11 end of the cable to

DIAG port interface on the front of the CCC, then go to step
Unseat protect CCC.

Using console cable supplied with 1677 SONET Link, connect RJ-11 end of cable into

Console port on the first TC (TC-11-A).
Connect DB-9 end of console cable to a VT-compatible terminal or to a PC that has a

VT-compatible terminal-emulator installed.
Make sure terminal or PC with terminal emulator is configured with the following

parameters:
a. 9600 Baud
b. 8 data bits
c. 1 stop bit
d. No parity
Turn on VT-compatible terminal or start VT-compatible terminal emulator on PC.

Power-cycle 1677 SONET Link to enter the

the following message displays:
Press any key to stop auto-boot... <CR>
