Set power meter wavelength to 1310 nm for IR OC3, IR OC12, and SR/IR/LR OC48

Clean fiber-optics and optical connectors (refer to DLP-117), and then retest

connection. If connection still fails test, recheck fiber-optic cable routing, replace
faulty fiber-optic cable, or replace OCn module.

Disconnect optical power meter (and attenuator, if applicable) from fiber-optic cable.

For fiber-optic cable disconnected from power meter in step 16, reconnect fiber-optic

cable at LGX panel.
Connect fiber-optic cable that runs between Rx port of OCn module and LGX panel to

Rx port of OCn module under test. SC fiber-optic cables connect to OC12, OC48, or
OC192 modules, and LC fiber-optic cables connect to OC3 module.
On front side of LGX panel, connect fiber-optic jumper to ports corresponding to fiber-

optic cables from Tx and Rx port on OCn module under test, using appropriate jumper
for connector types.

Confirm Cabling Between Client-Side I/O and Customer LGX Panel (OCn-Equipped Shelf)
for OCn module specifications. Refer to the 1677 SONET Link Product
If yes, record results in CKL-108, then go to step 16.
If no, go to step 14.
