Measure DS3/EC1 Connector Panel Output Across Coaxial Cable at DSX Panel End
Connect test set to front side of DSX panel corresponding to cable from TX port of ECC

Verify that a valid DS3/EC1 signal is present.

Is a valid DS3/EC1 signal present?

Recheck coaxial cable routing, and then retest connection. If connection still fails test,

replace faulty coaxial cable, replace ECC module, or replace 48-port DS3/EC1
connector panel.

Disconnect test set from DSX panel.

On front side of DSX panel, connect coaxial jumper to ports corresponding to cables

from Tx and Rx port on ECC under test.
