8.1 Haftung
Der Hersteller haftet, wenn das Produkt gemäß den Beschreibungen und Anweisungen in diesem
Dokument verwendet wird. Für Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung dieses Dokuments, insbe­
sondere durch unsachgemäße Verwendung oder unerlaubte Veränderung des Produkts verur­
sacht werden, haftet der Hersteller nicht.
8.2 CE-Konformität
Das Produkt erfüllt die Anforderungen der europäischen Richtlinie 93/42/EWG für Medizinpro­
dukte. Aufgrund der Klassifizierungskriterien nach Anhang IX dieser Richtlinie wurde das Produkt
in die Klasse I eingestuft. Die Konformitätserklärung wurde deshalb vom Hersteller in alleiniger
Verantwortung gemäß Anhang VII der Richtlinie erstellt.

1.1 Construction and Function
The 1C20 ProSymes prosthetic foot is used for the fitting of Syme ankle amputations, under cer­
tain conditions for Pirogoff amputations, and for modified Chopart residual limbs. The prosthetic
foot features a lamination anchor and is connected directly to the prosthetic socket. Thanks to its
low structural height, it is particularly suited to long residual limbs with low ground clearance.
The functional properties of the prosthetic foot are achieved by a design that features double car­
bon spring elements with a PU elastomer layer in between.

1.2 Combination possibilities
This prosthetic component is compatible with Ottobock's system of modular connectors. Func­
tionality with components of other manufacturers that have compatible modular connectors has
