To install a PCIe thermal solution kit, complete the following steps:
Step 1. Read the safety information that begins on "Safety" on page v and "Installation guidelines" on page
305.
Step 2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables,
if necessary.
Step 3. Remove the top cover (see "Removing the top cover" on page 162).
Step 4. Align the air baffle tab with the slot on the right side of the chassis; then, lower the air baffle into the
server. Press the air baffle down until it is securely seated.

Step 5. Install the top cover (see "Replacing the top cover" on page 164).
Step 6. Slide the server into the rack.
Step 7. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed.
Step 8. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.

Step 4. Remove the screw that secures the front control panel assembly to the chassis. Then carefully
push the front control panel assembly out of the server and set it aside.
