Step 8. Connect the signal and power-configuration cables to the backplane and the system board. See
"3.5-inch hard disk drive cable connection" on page 158 for more information.
Step 9. Reinstall the hard disk drives and filler panels (see "Replacing a simple-swap hard disk drive" on
page 175).
Step 10. Replace the fan cage assembly and fans if you removed them (see "Replacing the fan cage
assembly" on page 191 and "Replacing a hot-swap fan" on page 193).
Step 11. Install the top cover (see "Replacing the top cover" on page 164).
Step 12. Slide the server into the rack.
