Displaying the AlliedWare Plus Version Number

Before building the stack, you should first determine whether the switches
have the same version of the AlliedWare Plus management software. If
they have different versions, Allied Telesis recommends upgrading both
switches to the latest version. For instructions. refer to the Software
Reference for XS900MX Series Switches, AlliedWare Plus Operating
System.
To view the AlliedWare Plus version number, perform the following
procedure:
1. Start a local management session on the switch. Refer to "Starting a
Local Management Session" on page 86.
2. Display the version number with the SHOW VERSION command.
Refer to Figure 51.

3. Write down the version number in the Stacking Worksheet in Table 4
on page 45.
4. Do one of the following:
If the Switch ID LED is displaying 0, perform "Activating VCStack,"
next.
Otherwise, power off the switch by disconnecting the power cord
from the AC power source.
5. Repeat the procedures in this chapter on the second switch.
6. After performing the procedures on both switches, verify that both
units are powered off.
7. Go to Chapter 7, "Stacking with the Default Trunk Ports" on page 91 or
Chapter 8, "Stacking with Non-default Trunk Ports" on page 105.
