Node guarding
SINAMICS waits a certain time (node lifetime) for message frames from the master
application and permits a specific number (lifetime factor) of failures within a specified time
interval (node guard time).
The node lifetime is calculated by multiplying the node guard time by the lifetime factor.
Heartbeat protocol
SINAMICS (producer) cyclically transmits (heartbeat time) its communication status (sign of
life) on the CAN bus to the master application.
Profile velocity mode
This mode allows velocity setpoints to be defined and set according to variable velocity
profiles.

Description
Ready to operate
At least one of the error counters in the CAN controller has
reached the alarm threshold "Error passive". (too many
telegrams with errors).
A guard event has occurred.
The CAN controller is "Bus off".
Description
The node is in the STOPPED status.
The node is in the PRE-OPERATIONAL status.
The node is in the OPERATIONAL status.
