The operation of MB89950 is described below.

3.1 Clock Pulse Generator

The MB89950 series of microcontrollers contain the system clock pulse generator. The crystal oscillator is
connected to the X0 and X1 pins to generate clock pulses. Clock pulses can also be supplied internally by
inputting externally-generated clock pulses to the X0 pin. The X1 pin should be kept open.
