Use of a DC source / battery

Voltage tap from the priority source and additional battery
The schematic diagram below shows how taps from the priority source and an additional DC
source can be used to implement the continuous power supply to the ATC6500:
Using taps, the ATC is supplied by the priority source in normal circumstances (Source 1
available) via the terminals 53, 54. If the priority source fails, the ATC is supplied via the
additional DC source.
This ensures that the ATC6500 does not fail during a transfer. It is possible, for example, to
use the same DC source as for the emergency power unit.
Note
Technical specifications of the supply voltage
In the case of voltage taps of the priority source the technical specifications for the supply
voltage of the ATC6500 must be observed (see chapter Connection of the supply voltage of
the ATC6500 (Page 83)). Please note additionally the necessary fuse protection for the
inputs of the AC / DC supply (see chapter Technical Specifications (Page 237))
