This menu is divided into three sections for the integrated interface COM1 and for the
possible interfaces COM2 and COM3.
Note:
The integrated RS485 interface is permanently defined as COM1.

Description
MODBUS node address
– Serial address (nodes) of the communication proto-
col.
Serial speed
– Transmission speed of the communication port
Data format
– Setting to 7 bits only possible for ASCII protocol.
Stop bits
– Number of stop bits.
Protocol
– Choice of communication protocol
IP address (not selectable for COM1)
– TCP / IP / coordinates for applications with Ethernet /
interface.
Note: Cannot be used with RS458 expansion module.
Subnet mask (cannot be selected for COM1)

TCP-IP port (cannot be selected for COM1)

Channel function role of the communication protocol
(cannot be selected for COM1)
- Slave = Slave Modbus
Client / Server (cannot be selected for COM1)
– Enabling of the TCP-IP connection.
Server = Wait for connection of
a remote client. Client = Establishes the connection
with a remote server.
Remote IP address (cannot be selected for COM1)
– Coordinates for the connection with the remote serv-
er, if P16.n.10 is configured on client.
