1. Install the "occonfig" program
from the system CD. To do this,
you must log on as an adminis-
trator under Windows NT or
Windows 2000/XP.
2. Shut down the PC. Remove all
connected network leads. Con-
nect the serial port of the PC to
the COM port of the
OpenCom 130.
3. Restart the PC. Set up an RAS
link with the icon configured on

For the initial configuration you re-
quire a normal TCP/IP-capable PC
with a Web browser. The PC should
at least meet the following require-
ments:
IBM-compatible 200 MHz PC
32 MB RAM and 50 MB of free
hard disk space
Microsoft Windows 95/98,
Microsoft Windows 2000/XP or
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 oper-
ating system
Microsoft Internet Explorer ver-
sion 4.0 or higher, or Netscape
Communicator version 4.5 or

Note: Microsoft Internet Explorer is
already installed in current versions
of the Microsoft Windows operating
system. If required, a Web browser
can be installed from the system CD
delivered with the OpenCom 130.
In addition, the selected type of con-
nection requires further system
components that you may have to
install on your PC. The driver soft-
ware is normally supplied with the
hardware, and the appropriate ver-
sion should be available for your
operating system. You will find the
system software on the installation
CD of your operating system.
