    PC versions of all system telephones from the OpenPhone 7x product range are available for the OpenCom 100 and OpenCom X300 communications systems, and for the OpenCom 1000 communications system, the OpenPhone 73 and OpenPhone 75 system telephones can be used.

    TSP (TAPI Service Provider): Hardware-dependent driver module providing TAPI functionality for specific devices (e.g. for the the OpenCom 100, OpenCom X300 and OpenCom 1000). VAD (Voice Activity Detection): Recognizes speech pauses that are then not sent so as to reduce network load.

    Installation Characteristics Installation Please note that to install OpenPhone IPC you must have administrator rights for your PC. 1. Run the “IPhoneSetup.exe” file. 2. Select the language in which the instal- lation is to be made and click on OK. 3.

This alternative is skin-capable and can also be used with a CTI application. OpenPhone IPC without Interface: OpenPhone IPC without an interface can only be used with a CTI application and cannot be used without a CTI application.

    Functionality Characteristics Functionality Installing OpenPhone IPC also automatically installs a current version of DirectX, if it is not already on your PC. In a standard DirectX installation, DirectSound is configured with default settings that minimize processor load, but which may also reduce audio quality. You can improve the quality by taking the following steps.

    Using the OpenPhone IPC with an Interface Program Start Using the OpenPhone IPC with an Interface If you have installed the OpenPhone IPC with a user interface, a telephone user interface is displayed when the program is started. If you have selected the ”Default Skin” user interface, the interface will be similar to the user interface of the OpenPhone 71 (only available on an OpenCom 100 or OpenCom X300), OpenPhone 73 or OpenPhone 75.

    Using the OpenPhone IPC with an Interface Operation Operation The OpenPhone IPC can be used with a mouse or keyboard of any workstation computer, in a manner similar to an OpenPhone 71, OpenPhone 73 or OpenPhone 75. When making entries via the keyboard, please note the terminal’s input mode, which distinguishes between numeric and alphanumeric input.
