After the DGS11 Software Tool is started, the user is requested to enter the
physical address of the DG/S 1.1 to which the connection is to be
established. In order to establish the connection to the EIB / KNX, the PC or
laptop must be connected to an RS232 or USB interface on the EIB / KNX.
Notice: The right physical EIB/KNX address of the DALI-
Gateway must be entered correctly in the address field. If a
wrong physical device address is entered and this address is
already used by another EIB/KNX device (no DG/S 1.1),
normally no link is constructed. Theoretically it is possible, that
the wrong EIB/KNX device used the transmitted information
from the DGS11-Software-Tool for there own. In this case the
normal functions of this device could be disturbed.
By pressing the "Connect with device" button, the interface configuration
window used in ETS appears:
Set the individual interface parameters in this window and confirm with OK.
You are in the visualisation section of the DGS11 Software Tool once the
connection to the EIB / KNX has been established and the gateway has
been recognised.
The system cannot be influenced or changed in this mode. The system
continues to operate without interruption and with the full range of functions.
