4.7 Coloured lighting with
LED technology and DALI

Project design and programming
Coloured lighting can be generated with LED technology from the colours
red, green and blue. LED strips with the corresponding DALI converters are
available which can be connected to the DALI-Gateway. Different light
effects can be controlled with the EIB / KNX with the corresponding DALI
LED converter or DALI ballast via the DALI-Gateway.
There are special DALI converters (e.g. LED 0025 K211 24V) featuring three
internal DALI addresses (devices) for colour control. Control is implemented
via a single DALI input. As the 1-fold gateway recognises, addresses and
contacts every individual DALI device on a DALI line via the EIB / KNX, it is
possible to mix every colour of the three primary colours with the 1-fold
DALI-Gateway DG/S 1.1. Specific colour transitions can be generated by
retrieving a scene or using dynamic mode. Additional EIB / KNX logic
devices and a timer can be used to generate repetitive lighting effects.
