Functional description
Fig. 22 "General" communication objects
The following general communication objects relate to functions which
concern the entire DALI-Gateway with both of its channels.

245 Central Control On/Off
Central Control On/Off [EIS 1; 1-bit switching]: Central control is switched on and off via
this object. If the object "Central Control On/Off" is equal to "1" (on), the device control objects
have no effect.
Central control stays switched on until the object "Channel Control On/Off" is reset to "0" (off).
Only then can the individual devices be individually controlled again. The values set by
central control (brightness/switching states) remain and can be changed at any time by
individual telegrams with any objects. If the object "Burn in Lamps" (see channel X objects) is
set to "1", the lamps on the channel can only be set to 0 % or 100 % during this burn-in time.
After a download or EIB / KNX voltage recovery, the object value is set automatically to "0"
which means that forced central control is deactivated.

246 Burn in Lamps
Burn in Lamps [EIS 1; 1-bit switching]:

activated or deactivated via this object. After a telegram is received (value "1"), all lamps on
the DALI-Gateway can only be switched to 0% (off) or 100 % brightness. The burn-in period
in can be adjusted in the "General" parameter window. After this time has elapsed, the device
can be dimmed as usual and the programmed lightscene can be recalled. If a telegram (value
"1") is received during the burn-in time, the period restarts from the beginning. A telegram
with the value "0" deactivates the function and enables normal operation. The burn-in time is
only counted if DALI equipment is connected to the channel and supplied with power.

Note: Activation of this burn-in time via this central object is useful after initial installation or
complete exchange of all lamps. If one or just a few lamps are to be burned in, an individual
activation of the burn-in time by the addressing object (no. 7 or 25) and the subsequent burn-
in object 12 or 30 is possible.
