Functional description
Operation Mode
Option:
normal
dynamic
With this parameter you set whether the DALI device should be operated in
"normal" or "dynamic" mode. For the "normal" operating mode, the
parameter window shown in the previous section is displayed. The device
can be switched on or off normally via the objects xy "Switch/Status" or via
the selection object "Selected Device On/Off" (a device must be selected
beforehand).
If the "dynamic" option is set, the corresponding device does not normally
switch the device on or off via the objects Device xy "Switch/Status" or via
the selected object "Selected Device On/Off" (the device must be selected
beforehand), but rather calls up the corresponding scene values, i.e. if the
DG/S 1.1 receives a telegram with the value "1", the parameterised start
scene and subsequently the parameterised end scene in the "Dynamic"
parameter window are accessed.
The parameterisation of the dynamic operation is implemented via two
scenes which are selected in the "Dynamic" parameter window. The actual
scene setting is implemented in the corresponding scene parameter window.
(A programming example can be found in chapter 4 "Planning and
application" - Staircase lighting function with dynamic mode).
Minimal brightness value
Option:
min. physical brightness
5%
...
70%
With this parameter, the minimum brightness value is defined which the
DALI devices should assume when dimming or when setting a brightness
value. The absolute minimum brightness value (min. physical brightness),
which the ballast lamp combinations can assume is manufacturer-specific
and is typically between 1 % and 5 %. If a minimum brightness value is set
which exceeds the maximum brightness value, the minimum brightness
value is set equal to the maximum brightness value. If the "Burn in Lamps"
function is activated, the lamp will be operated only with 0 % (off) or 100 %
brightness, regardless of this setting.
If a brightness value is received via the "Brightness value/Status"
communication object, which is below the defined minimum brightness
value, the minimum brightness value is set.
The set minimum brightness values in the device continue to be valid with
central commands.
Maximum brightness value
Option:
100%
...
30
With this parameter, the maximum brightness value is defined which the
DALI devices should assume when dimming brighter or when setting a
brightness value. If a maximum brightness value is set which is lower than
the minimum brightness value, the maximum brightness value is set equal to
the minimum brightness value. If the "Burn in Lamps" function is activated,
the lamp will be operated only with 0 % (off) or 100 % brightness, regardless
of this setting.
