Overview
This chapter contains information about installing an Media Processing Server (MPS) 1000 system.
Generally, Avaya field personnel initially install, configure, and test your system. The information in
this chapter is for organizations with qualified staff to supplement field service and tech support
arrangements.
The MPS 1000 Preinstallation Site Survey document, which can be obtained from the Avaya
Support Portal site, contains installation specifications and instructions on developing the equipment
room floor plan. Perform the installation steps in the order given.
Caution:
System installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. Avaya strongly recommends
that system configuration changes be made only by qualified personnel.
