Caution:
MPS system cards are designed to work on Ethernet links with Auto-Negotiation enabled, IEEE
802.3-2005 Section 28. Forcing the link to anything except 10 Meg half-duplex may result in
duplex mismatch which will cause loss of packets under load.

The devices in a MPS 1000 system, except the DCC, obtain their software images through a
process known as bootp.
