4. Install power and ground wiring.
a. AC power
b. DC power
5. Install Application processor.
6. Install cable lines and trunks.
7. Power up the system.
8. Perform acceptance tests.

Installing MPS Cabinets

Caution:
Front and rear cabinet doors are part of an electrical and fire enclosure. Cabinet doors must
remain closed and locked. Cabinet doors are to be opened for temporary servicing only by
qualified personnel.

Preparing Equipment for Installation

The shipping company or customer must perform the following tasks:
1. Unpack the equipment.
2. Cut floor access opening.
3. Place equipment into position.
4. Apply seismic bracing.
5. Provide all external cables.
Use the equipment room floor plan to position equipment, see
Report on page 248.
1. Make sure all items on the system order form are on the packing slip that comes with the
equipment.
2. Inspect all equipment for physical damage. Report any damage to your supplier.
