PROFIsafe General description
parameters
F_Par_Version Specifies the PROFIsafe operat­
ing mode of the device.
The setting 1 corresponds to
PROFIsafe V2-MODE.
F_Source_Add Unique PROFIsafe source ad­
(PROFIsafe dress of the F-Host.

F_Dest_Add Unique PROFIsafe target ad­
(PROFIsafe target dress of the F-Device within the

The target address set by the
configuration software must
match the PROFIsafe address
set on the input module using
the DIL switch.
F_WD_Time Time period (Watchdog Time)
within which a valid current
safety telegram must arrive

F_iPar_CRC CRC through the individual
device parameters
(i-parameter).

For CPX-F8DE-P, the fol­
lowing apply:
– CPX-F8DE-P works
exclusively in PROFIsafe
V2-MODE.
– Unique PROFIsafe source
address of the F-Host.
– CPX-F8DE-P compares
both settings to check the
authenticity of the con­
nection è Chapter 2.4.
– The time period must be
short enough that the sys­
tem can react quickly
enough to communication
failures or malfunctions.
On the other hand, the
time period must be long
enough to tolerate typical
delays in transmission.
The clock time for calling
the safety program must
be less than the time peri­
od set here.
– CPX-F8DE-P makes no indi­
vidual device parameters
available.
