Replacing valve terminal components

5.4.1 Valves and blanking plates

The valves and blanking plates of the CDVI can easily be
replaced or added.
All valve positions on the CDVI support triggering two sole-
noid coils.
Proceed as follows:
1. Clean and dry the CDVI so that the surfaces of the
in-line manifolds are clean.
2. Undo the mounting screws of the components
(see Fig. 5/1). Pay attention to the O-rings used as
locking agent.
3. Carefully pull the component off the in-line valve mani-
fold.
Proceed as follows:
1. Check the valves to make sure that they are inserted as
far as possible into the valve cover.
2. Carefully plug the component onto the in-line valve mani-
fold. Pay particular attention to the terminal lugs on
valves; these are not resistant to bending in alternate
directions.
3. Tighten the mounting screws with max. 0.8 Nm (-0.1 Nm).
