Cleaning the CDVI
5-4
The CDVI from Festo is a valve terminal especially for the
splash range in the food and packing industry. It features in
particular the following:
–
Increased resistance to corrosion
–
Resistance to acid and alkaline cleaning agents
–
Compliance with relevant protection classes (see Appen-
dix A "Technical data").
–
Easy to clean.
Caution
Disinfectants may contain substances which can damage
the components of the CDVI in the long or short term
(e.g. sodium hypochlorite).
– Avoid using cleaning agents with a sodium hypochlorite
basis.
– Do not disinfect the CDVI with ultra-violet light.
– Note that the IP protection class refers to cold water
without cleaning agents. Cleaning agents can reduce
the surface tension.
In individual cases you should consult the manufacturer
of the cleaning agent/disinfectant regarding its compati-
bility with the CDVI.
