DHCP Protocol

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a network protocol used to automatically configure devices
on the network. With DHCP, devices request IP addresses and networking parameters automatically from a
DHCP server, reducing the need for a network administrator or a user to configure these settings manually.
CueServer can optionally use DHCP to automatically set its network parameters (such as IP Address,
Subnet, Gateway, etc.) without requiring the user to adjust these settings manually.
By default from the factory, CueServer has DHCP turned on, which means that it will attempt to find a DHCP
server and automatically configure itself as the CueServer is powered on. CueServer can be configured to
have DHCP turned off, which would allow manually assigned (static) network parameters to be used.
Some CueServer models may be configured to have more than one LAN connection. On models configured
this way, DHCP may be used separately on each LAN.
