the Punch Pins from dropping.
4. Loosen the Left and Right Socket screws attaching the Z Brackets to the Side Plates.
Move the Left and Right Punch Links off the Punch Actuator Tabs.
5. Remove the 3 Retaining Clips and Retaining Pins holding the Punc h Actuator to the
Punch Housing. The Punch Actuator, Spacer, and Pins can now be removed and
replaced as necessary. (NOTE: Be sure to check the Punch Actuator for broken
welds or warpage, and the Punch Die Holes for elongation.)
6. Reassemble in reverse order. (NOTE: New Retaining Clips must be inserted on the
Retaining Pins to properly assemble the Punch.*)
*NOTE: THERE MUST BE NO PLAY BETWEEN THE PUNCH ACTUATOR,
SPACER, AND PUNCH HOUSING. The Retaining Clips can be easily and securely
installed using a Punch Housing Tool - Part Number 9777705. This is basically a "C"
Clamp which has a drilled out hole for the Retaining Pin to protrude through as the
"C" Clamp tightens the Retaining Clip over it.
