6.5 KNIFE LATERAL POSITION ADJUSTMENT - Figure 6-5
1. Disconnect Power Cord from wall outlet.
2. Remove the Housing.
3. Loosen the 4 Lateral Adjusting Screws retaining the Knife Assembly to the Left and Right
Knife Brackets.
4. Remove the Timing Belt from the Camshaft Drive Pulley, and rotate the Camshaft
counterclockwise until the Knife Blade is all the way forward in the Bridge cutouts.
5. Move the Knife Blade as necessary to center the Blade Tips in the Bridge Cutouts.
6. Tighten the 4 Lateral Adjusting Screws.
7. Rotate the Camshaft counterclockwise until the Knife is brought to the home position, and
reinstall the Timing Belt.
8. Run a sample bind to test the Knife Blade lateral position. Minor readjustment may be
necessary.
