5.4.6 Configuring Panorama Linkage

Purpose:
Panorama linkage builds up the connection between the panoramic camera channel and the PTZ
camera channel of a multi-channel camera. Once the connection set up, certain live view
operations to panoramic camera channels can be displayed in PTZ camera channel.
To use the function, see the operations of 3D positioning on live view page.
To set up the connection, complete calibration. Manual calibration and auto calibration are
selectable.
Note:
Panorama linkage function varies depending on different camera models. For indoor camera
model, panorama linkage function does not show on the interface. It is set with default
parameters. Outdoor camera model supports panorama linkage configuration interface.

Auto Calibration
Steps:
1. Enter Panorama Linkage setting interface. Configuration > PTZ > Panorama Linkage.
2. Click Start Calibration and enter the auto calibration interface.
3. Match up the PTZ camera channel with panoramic camera channels.
i. Select a panoramic camera channel.
ii. Adjust PTZ in PTZ control panel or click 3D positioning to find the same scene in
PTZ camera channel.
iii. Click Adjusting succeeded.
iv. Repeat to complete matching for other panoramic camera channels.
4. Click Next.
5. Click One-touch Calibration or Single Scene Calibration and auto calibration starts.
Notes:
 When you select One-touch Calibration, the camera performs calibration one by
one starting from panorama view 1 automatically.
 When you select Single Scene Calibration, the camera only perform calibration for
the selected panoramic camera channel.
6. Click Auto Calibrating Succeeded and exit the auto calibration interface.

Manual Calibration
Steps:
1. Enter Panorama Linkage setting interface. Configuration > PTZ > Panorama Linkage.
2. Select a panoramic camera channel.
3. Click Add in Calibration Parameter panel to add a new calibration point.
A numbered green cross displayed on the panoramic image. Drag the green cross to
adjust its position.
4. Adjust PTZ to place the green cross in the PTZ camera channel to the same position of
the green cross in panoramic camera channel. 1× is recommended.
5. Click Get PTZ Position, and the PTZ position is displayed in Calibration Parameter list.
6. Click Start Calibration. Repeat the steps above to add more calibration points for the
selected panoramic camera channel.
