1. Remove the front cover assembly (see section 5.29) and rear cover (see
section 5.30).
2. Turn the adjustment knob to loosen the shaft brake. Slide the print head
assemblies away from the front cover.
3. Flip the print head assembly up and over to rest on the entry roller sup-
port assembly.
4. Disconnect the top entry bar sensor assembly (emitter) from the proces-
sor board connector (P32).
5. Cut the wire ties holding the emitter to the bar.
6. Unfasten the screw securing the emitter to the sensor bar and remove.
Snake the cable through the hole in the lift bracket and remove the emitter.

7. If replacing the sensor bar, unfasten the four screws (two on either end)
that attach the sensor bar to the lift brackets. Lift to remove the sensor
bar.

8. Reinstall in reverse order.
