5. Repeat the input in the "Confirm Password" field. Pay attention to upper and lower case.
For security reasons, the password entries displayed in the input fields are encrypted.
6. Confirm the input. To do so, click "OK".
If both password entries were identical, the input dialog box is closed. If the passwords you
have entered do not match, the input dialog box remains open. An error message appears.
At the same time, the two entries in the input dialog are cleared. In this case, you must
enter the password into both input fields again.
When the corresponding website is accessed, you will be prompted once to enter the
password.
Changing the password
You can change the password at any time. If a password has already been assigned for a
user, the existing password is shown in encrypted form.
To change a password, you must know the existing password.
1. Click the "Change Passwort" button in the user setting area.
The "Web Server - Specify password" dialog box opens.
2. Enter your old password in the uppermost input field.
3. Enter the new password containing eight to ten characters in the "New Passwort" input field.
4. Repeat the input in the "Confirm Password" field. Pay attention to upper and lower case.

Password forgotten?
If you have forgotten your password, you can no longer access your SINAMICS data or
SINAMICS functions via the web server.
To assign a new password, proceed as follows:
1. Back up the current configuration of the drive device in the STARTER.
Select the relevant drive unit. Open the shortcut menu "Target device" > "Load CPU/drive
unit into PG/PC...".
2. Reset the drive unit to the factory settings.
To do this, select the drive unit in the project navigator. Open the shortcut menu "Target
device" > "Restore factory settings".
3. Load the secure configuration to the drive unit.
Select the relevant drive unit. Open the shortcut menu "Target device" > "Load to target
device".
4. Reconfigure the web server login for the user in STARTER.
